AIKEMICS / Why Aikemics /Who we are
Who we are

A research spinout built for industry.

Founded August 2025 in Amiens (Hauts-de-France). Aikemics carries 13+ years of modeling work led by Prof. Alejandro A. Franco at LRCS (Laboratoire de Réactivité et Chimie des Solides, CNRS UMR 7314, Université de Picardie Jules Verne). The gap between scientific maturity and industrial deployment in battery manufacturing is too wide, and it costs too much. That is why we exist.

Our story

Thirteen years of science. One clear industrial problem.

Aikemics grew out of one of the world's leading computational modeling research groups, at LRCS in Amiens. Over a decade, funded by 16 M€ including two ERC grants, the team built and validated physics-based models of every major battery manufacturing step: slurry mixing, coating, drying, calendering, cell assembly, electrolyte filling, formation.

The missing piece was always the same: no path from validated model to deployed tool. More than 100 industrial actors expressed interest before the company even existed. We founded Aikemics in August 2025 to build that path and to make industrial-grade simulation accessible to the engineers who need it. An exclusive license agreement with CNRS/LRCS is in final negotiation.

Why we're different

Built by scientists. Shipped for engineers.

01 / 04

Physics-first, always

We simulate mechanisms rather than fit curves. Every model is grounded in peer-reviewed electrochemistry and validated against 2100+ manufacturing scenarios.

02 / 04

Honest about uncertainty

Confidence intervals are first-class outputs. You see what the model knows and what it doesn't.

03 / 04

Usable by non-experts

Operator dashboards, guided workflows and built-in scientific assistance. No PhD in electrochemistry or material processing required.

04 / 04

Sovereign by design

Hybrid architecture: cloud library, on-premise execution. Your data, recipes and IP stay in your environment.
